Kessler Neighbors United (KNU) is the neighborhood association for greater Kessler Park in Dallas, Texas. We are often referred to as Dallas’ hidden jewel of a neighborhood because of our picturesque location, elevated topography, mature landscape, natural beauty, and impressive architecture. Join us in preserving and enhancing the unique character of our community. We have many volunteer opportunities and would love for you to get involved!

Kessler Neighbors United is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We need your active participation, enthusiasm and sweat equity as a resident of Kessler Park! Volunteering plays a vital role in fostering a vibrant community. Please consider getting involved in one of our committees. Form provided below.

Beautification & Streetscapes Committee
Coordinates multiple neighborhood activities with the City of Dallas, including overseeing neighborhood enhancements, medians and traffic islands; planning and implementing landscaping, lighting and utilities in alignment with (and through approval by) the City’s MOWmentum program, designed to improve public right-of-ways through active community participation; addressing safety concerns relating to pedestrians, joggers and bikers coursing through our sidewalks and streets.

​Communications Committee
Communicates events & relevant subject matter to our member-resident base via our website, monthly and one-off newsletters, and social media accounts – e.g., Facebook, Instagram, NextDoor.​

​Conservation Committee
Serves as a resource to the neighborhood to navigate and answer questions related to Kessler Park’s Conservation District (CD-13) guidelines. Escalates conservation issues to the City in order to maintain and preserve the uniqueness of our community.

Holidays Committee
Responsible for holiday and neighborhood enrichment events and manages any holiday decor on common grounds as approved by the KNU and the City of Dallas.

Membership & New Neighbors Committee
Provides additional maintenance and administration to the KNU member-resident master roster, paid dues and updates to residence status (i.e., sold and leased properties, new owners, tenants). Serves as our neighborhood ambassador, extending a warm welcome and care package to new residents and supports Communications and the Board with mailings and door-to-door campaigns.as our neighborhood ambassador, extending a warm welcome and care package to new residents.

​Social & Fundraising Committee
Plans social events, gatherings and outreach that encourages neighborhood enrichment and networking opportunities. Focuses on fund-raising efforts that include banner sales on our website, and any special events, special projects or unforeseen needs that may arise. Also serves as a goodwill arm in fostering relationships with area businesses and supporters.

Web & Virtual Store Committee
Provides monthly management and administration for the KNU website, including negotiation and renewing contracts as necessary. Fulfills online store orders processed through our website - e.g., branded t-shirts, hats, mugs, pet waste stations, and other goods. Duties include order review, fulfillment coordination, item packaging, and local delivery (drop off at residence), as necessary.
