2025 KNU Board Elections

​It’s time to help shape the future of our neighborhood!


We’re now accepting nominations for the 2025 Kessler Neighbors United Board through October 31.

 

Residents are encouraged to nominate themselves or a neighbor to serve on the board — it’s a great way to get involved, meet others, and make a difference in our community.

​

Voting will open November 10 and close November 19, with results announced at the Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 20 (the week before Thanksgiving).

KNU Board Officers:
 

President
Leads the KNU Board, represents the neighborhood with the City of Dallas, and guides projects, events, and community initiatives throughout the year (prior KNU Board experience required).

Vice President
Oversees the annual Kessler Krawl fundraiser and Kessler Karnival family event, coordinating sponsors, vendors, and volunteers to bring the community together.

Secretary
Keeps meetings organized and documented, ensuring KNU communications, records, and board updates are accurate and up to date.

Treasurer
Manages KNU’s budget, donations, and expenses to ensure responsible use of funds and financial transparency.

 

KNU Committee Chairs:

Social
Plans neighborhood gatherings like the Chili Cookoff and monthly happy hours to build connections and foster Kessler Park spirit.

Communications
Shares KNU news and updates through newsletters and announcements, working with the Web and Social Chairs to keep residents informed.

Web
Maintains the KNU website, posting updates about events, meetings, and community news in collaboration with the Communications team.

Holidays
Leads the neighborhood’s holiday decorating efforts, coordinating island displays and organizing the annual Santa celebration.

Beautification
Oversees landscaping, clean-up days, and beautification projects that enhance Kessler Park’s shared spaces and greenspaces and serves as a liaison with the City of Dallas on MOWmentum related matters.

Conservation
Promotes awareness and compliance with Kessler Park’s Conservation District (CD-13) guidelines and serves as a liaison with the City of Dallas on related matters.

Membership
Encourages residents to join and renew their KNU membership, helping grow engagement and support for neighborhood programs.

Heritage Oak Cliff Representative
Represents KNU in interactions with Heritage Oak Cliff, ensuring Kessler Park stays connected to larger community and preservation efforts.
